Covid19 Test & Tests on Humanline

Post-Vaccination antibody test Covid-19

Detects whether immunity to SARS-COV-2 has been built up with the vaccine.

* Blood sample.

* Result within 48 hours.

* Sensitivity of 98.3% from the third week and 100% from the fourth week after vaccination.

Information:

Protein S (“spike”), a transmembrane protein that assembles into trimers to form the characteristic spikes on the surface of coronaviruses (binding mechanism of the virus and human cells). SARS-CoV-2 vaccines induce the production of specific antibodies against the S protein of the virus. Specific titration of antibodies against the S1 protein of the SARS-CoV-2 spicule (COVID-19) is obtained.

A test is available that detects antibodies to the S protein of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) using the reference test (ELISA/chemiluminescence). Approximately three weeks after the last dose of vaccine, it is possible to detect whether these antibodies to the virus have been generated. The sensitivity is 98.3% from the third week and 100% from the fourth week after vaccination.

The test is a quantitative, CE-marked immunoassay with a sensitivity and specificity close to 100%. However, the percentage of people who develop antibodies to COVID-19 after vaccination depends on the efficacy of each vaccine.

Therefore, the result of this test will depend on what is indicated by the manufacturer regarding the efficacy of the vaccine that has been administered.
